Babe's Playground is proud to present our Aerial Yoga Mini Retreat.
* Please bring a water bottle and a positive attitude. We will take care of the rest!
Our retreat is for all ability levels and is designed to both invigorate and relax you. This Aerial Yoga program was created to restore and rejuvenate the entire body but it is best known for its zero compression inversions. This move alone (simply hanging upside down) comes with a list of health related benefits. Antigravity is also known as the safest aerial movement class developed to date. Christopher Harrison and his Aerial Performance company Antigravity, developed this program for 8 years before it's public launch carefully crafting the content for easy accessibility.

The first half of the retreat will explore the evolution of yoga in 3-dimensional space. This is a great workout enjoyed by yoga practitioners but is also very accessible for someone who has never taken a yoga class. This course for some may even provide greater accessibility due to the suspended posturing which allows for zero compression inversions and for greater support for poses that would typically be done on a mat. The first half is a reflection of our Aerial Yoga Class and is considered a little more challenging than our second half which is a reflection of our Restorative Yoga Class. Both halves of the retreat will connect you with more content than you would find in a regular class.
AntiGravity Restorative Yoga is the gentle, healing side of Christopher Harrison’s AntiGravity Aerial Yoga. It is the therapeutic, meditative, slow stretching and rehabilitative version of AntiGravity Aerial Yoga. This powerful method focuses the mind through powerful visualizations as it floats the body through a series of gentle gyro-kinetic motions, deeply opening the entire spine, hips, and connective tissues of the body. This technique features full body inversions, alongside various forms of flowing spinal traction. It offers accessibility to students with physical limitations, but is loved by all as a portal into deeper spinal flexibility, and mind/body connection. Taught in a sequential flow to music, the class incorporates levitating meditations, zero-compression inversions, supported sun salutations, joint opening poses, and a floating sivasana. Working from different hammock heights allows for the gentle opening of hips and spine. It is also loved by serious athletes who use it for recovery and rehabilitation when their bodies are over worked and over stressed.
